Our Sausage Revolution
Does a Duck Sausage Special with blackberry preserves, barbeque sauce, mustard, and bacon sound a little crazy? Perfect. That’s the way we like it.
At Dat Dog, we’re not serving just any ol’ dogs and suds. We’re serving unique food and drinks, from a unique team, that’s uniquely New Orleans. Our sausages are crafted from house-made recipes by our executive chef and served grilled to perfection on a steamed and toasted buns. We serve hot dogs, sausages, burgers, chicken, and beer-battered cod – all on our hot dog buns. Our vegan and vegetarian sausages are also stars. Plus, we’re serious about our suds. We serve ice cold craft beer on tap from local breweries—including our own Dat Biere—and hand-crafted cocktails from our full service bar.
But most of all, we love what we do. Headquartered in the Big Easy, fun is in our DNA. Music. Diversity. Community. We’re passionate about our people, our patrons, and our neighbors. We regularly partner with local charities, nonprofits and organizations to donate our food, hands and dollars.
We call our dogs “jazz improvisations in a bun.” Like jazz, we’re nimble, funky and sometimes a little off key. And that’s just the way we like it.
