5th Annual HOWL-O-WEENIE

Our 5th Annual fundraiser for Zeus' Rescues, *HOWL-O-WEENIE,* is prancing its way BACK on SATURDAY OCT. 24th, 3-5PM at DAT DOG MAGAZINE.

This is THE Dog Costume Contest of the Season! Dress your pup in their best get up for a chance to win fun prizes in 6 different categories, awarded by a panel of *actual* local artists and costume designers who know a good look when they see it. HOWL-O-WEENIE guarantees good times for a GOOD cause (Zeus' Rescues!) for both friends & fam- plus lots of great photo ops and furry, sometimes slobbery, action! 

Is your dog *whining* to strut their stuff on our *dogwalk*? There are 2 WAYS TO REGISTER:

1. IN-PERSON REGISTRATION to participate starts at noon at Dat Dog Magazine and ends at 3pm. To register, you MUST make a donation of either pet products or money to Zeus' Rescues. 

2. ONLINE PRE-REGISTRATION: A link will soon be provided to register on our website, www.datdog.com. Fill in the details on the form, then submit a donation of no less than $10 to Zeus' Rescues for registration to be valid. The online pre-registration link will be available until October 23rd.

The ZEUS' DONATION DRIVE will be happening ALL DAY at Dat Dog Magazine, so stop by any time with food, old towels, leashes, toys or anything that could help out their rescue pups and kitties!

THE RUNWAY SHOW WILL KICK OFF AROUND 3:30pm (after all of our participants have gotten settled). Costume contest categories include the following. The prizes are always fun and the validation is even better! 

1. BEST COUPLE: This is awarded to one dog + one human presenting together, both in costume.
2. BEST FAMILY: This is awarded to more than one dog + more than one human presenting together, all in costume.
3. BEST GROUP: This is awarded to more than one dog presenting together, all in costume.
4. BEST SOLO: This is awarded to for one dog in costume, presenting alone.
5. BEST IN SHOW: This is awarded to the best costume of all, for either dogs or dogs + humans.
6. CROWD FAVORITE: This is awarded to the pup (or group of pups) who gets the most applause and ooh's and ahh's from the crowd.

Going on FIVE YEARS of furry, fun-for-everyone vibes, HOWL-O-WEENIE is the best way to spend a Saturday afternoon before Halloween. No one does Halloween like New Orleans, ESPECIALLY the dogs!!!
